We're looking for an Account Manager to support our Account Leaders on planning, development and execution for key clients.

As the Account Manager, you will collaborate with the Account Leaders to develop the overall strategic plans and objectives for our client(s) and their various divisions. In this role, you will lead and manage the extended ASTOUND account team on strategy development and execution of individual projects, taking responsibility for ensuring that ASTOUND output adheres to client objectives, meets client deadlines and achieves ASTOUND quality standards. As Account Manager, you will collaborate with the Account Leaders on overall strategic planning and fiscal management for the account, focused at the project level.



  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Demonstrated Account Management competencies: client focus, developing others, accountability for results, attention to detail, flexibility and team effectiveness
  • Demonstrate understanding and advocacy for clients’ businesses and needs


Account Management

  • Lead large client programs
  • Manage association and venue approval process
  • Own master timelines and project plans; communicate action items to all stakeholders and monitor adherence to deadlines
  • Take ultimate responsibility that client deliverables & deadlines are met
  • Lead client calls & internal meetings
  • Negotiate & coordinate with third party resources for show related items Team Management
  • Manage, help train & delegate to support team members where appropriate
  • Develop talent of junior team by providing challenging assignments and ongoing constructive feedback
  • Manage resources; identify, negotiate and book external resources as needed
  • Overall management of information to Project Management and internal production departments as needed through kick-off and status meetings


Budget Management

  • Project invoicing
  • Independently create client budgets for mid to large size programs as assigned
  • Work with Project Managers on new builds, large activations or specialty project budgets
  • Follow up directly with client, as required, to resolve unpaid invoices in a timely fashion
  • Create internal budgets for new clients, RFPs (show services) to give to Proposal team lead
  • Create, maintain, reconcile & bill project budgets within 45 days
  • Provide timely & accurate financial information to finance team Client Management
  • Own direct client relationships- primary client contact on day-to-day development and implementation of program
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client's needs are heard, understood and addressed in a timely way
  • Proactively contribute ideas to projects and regularly make recommendations to client contact and Account Leaders on how to improve a project or program
  • Ensure clear communication to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, schedules and project status/ action items
  • Participate in new business opportunities as requested (research, preparation for & participation in pitches)
  •  Understand clients’ businesses and needs

Manage all account-related needs including but not limited to: 

  • Property and graphic inventories
  • Job process issues
  • Show site expectations
  • Quality / expectation
  • Pricing / billing

Creative Management

  • Participate actively and manage internal client brainstorming sessions by offering ideas for projects
  • Communicate client needs to creative team and creative ideas to client
  • Ensure creative deliverables are meeting client needs and completed on time and on budget


Digital Management
  • Engage digital vendors/partners as needed for client projects
  • Participate actively in development of digital creative process; whether client or

ASTOUND driven
  • Communicate client needs to digital team and digital components back to client
  • Ensure digital deliverables are meeting client needs, budget and are completed on time
