DESCRIPTION:

We need a Financial Analyst to join our finance department and manage the major reporting and reconciliation duties for our company. We’re an award-winning design & fabrication company that specializes in the delivery of state-of-the-art exhibits, events & environments around the world. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for accounting and analyst related duties, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. We need a professional with inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accuracy in all areas.

 

DESIRED BACKGROUND:

Experience in accounting, finance and technology.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of equivalent work experience e in both Finance and Systems (Management Information Systems)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • CPA or working on CPA designation
  • Knowledgeable in accounting and financial theory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and be challenged
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to achieve deadlines
  • Able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong understanding in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with various Financial systems, experience with Sage Intacct considered an asset

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in preparing the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and estimates for the management team
  • Interact with projects and operation team by preparing various job costing reports
  • Provide project margin report analysis and support management team to identify variances
  • Develop financial and non-financial KPIs for key drivers in the projects
  • Prepare month end package including various analysis, reconciliation of GL accounts and trends forecast
  • Validate financial data for completeness and accuracy
  • System administrator for Sage Intacct software, assisting end users as issues encountered
  • Liaison between the finance and IT team to ensure effective integrations and information flow across different systems (specifically Salesforce & SAGE Intacct)
  • Analyze business needs/processes presented by user communities and recommend technical solutions and improvements
  • Gather reporting requirements and configure custom and live financial reports and dashboards in the system.
  • Prepare training guides and conduct training sessions for end users on developed enhancements to system
  • Work with the operations team to ensure an accurate allocation of raw material usage to projects
  • Ownership of electronic, real-time job cost reports and project dashboards
  • Assist in creating and documenting internal control procedures surrounding accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory management
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses for management team and summaries as required
