We seek someone who is as passionate about the work as we are. The position of Project Manager plays a critical role in the lifecycle of all ASTOUND projects.

The Role

The Project Manager's role is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and stay within budget. This includes all internal communication with Project Designers and Account Managers as well as with outside suppliers. This will involve key production detail management and scheduling responsibilities, as well as all internal communication, work orders, and coordinating the efforts of team members within all departments of ASTOUND. The Project Manager will define the projects' objectives and oversee quality control throughout the entire execution of the job.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of custom projects, from the time of proposal sign-off.

• Develop detailed project plans to track progress and adjust as needed to meet changing needs and requirements.

•     Manage relationships with all project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and efficient project execution.

•     Oversee contract development and administration, ensuring all terms are clear, compliant, and adhered to by all parties.

•     Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

•     Ensure resource availability and allocation, managing the procurement of equipment and materials as needed.

•     Perform risk management to minimize project risks, addressing potential issues quickly and effectively.

•     Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

•     Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

•      Other responsibilities as assigned.

Desirable Skills:

  • PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is an asset.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

•     Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field.

•     7+ years of experience in project management within the manufacturing sector.

•     Solid background in contract administration, with proven ability to manage contracts throughout their lifecycle.

•     Strong experience in using project management software and tools.

•     Demonstrated ability to lead projects successfully and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

•     Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
