Your primary focus is to drive new and existing client relationships and revenue through the effective delivery of ASTOUND’s capabilities in the B2C and B2B channels, including brand experiences, trade shows and exhibits, sports activations, retail engagements and more. You will work with members of the cross-functional teams and senior leadership to serve as a trusted advisor to the client and a conduit into project development and execution. A passion for building trusted and long-term relationships through successful delivery of all facets of a project is key to your success.

We are looking for someone who ‘gets’ our clients and digs deep, champions great creative work, seeks out opportunities and is a strong and organized leader. The Director reports to the Vice President, Group Account Team, and may have direct reports.


  • Demonstrate that ASTOUND is a trusted, strategic partner to the client and drive a spirit of service and innovation with clients and internal team members
  • Develop solutions that leverage ASTOUND’s offerings and are mutually beneficial for the client and agency
  • Understand clients’ business and business issues and serve as a trusted advisor to drive effective solutions
  • Develop, write and present incremental project proposals and scopes of work
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client needs are listened to, understood and responded to in a timely way
  • Ensure clear communication to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget
  • Accountable for fiscal health of account(s) and overall revenue, and most specifically - growth
  • Oversee collaboration of cross-disciplinary internal teams
  • Collaborate with Strategy and Creative to ensure all creative content and ASTOUND solutions address the business need
  • Contribute new ideas in creative brainstorms to generate ideas for clients, represent client interests and clearly communicate to internal team
  • Be a champion of extraordinary work – by providing inspiration, leadership and expertise in the agency’s offerings
  • Exceed expectations with the overall quality of the work (ideas and impact), yielding recognition from the industry, award shows and our clients
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of our client’s business – competitive brands, key markets, competitors, strategies, consumers and target customers – as well as the marketing channels they operate within
  • Grow client revenue and oversee client profitability, resulting in year-over-year growth
  • Lead new business opportunities through internal process: qualifying opportunities, lead/oversee pitch process, own deliverables (RFP or pitch deck)
  • Act as subject matter expert on best practices for experiences/events of all types, bringing to bear significant experience and insight daily
  • Ensure regular account team meetings and manage communications between account team members, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Coach and oversee account managers and other account team members on execution of all individual job details


  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an agency or exhibit background, with a focus on tradeshow program management and organic client growth. Seniority will be determined based on relevant experience and tenure in the industry.
  • Demonstrable and proven high level of competency in managing accounts and deliverables in the marketing industry, with a preference for experiential/events (but not mandatory)
  • Confident leading large program accounts and account teams advising across projects from conception to installation
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong professional relationship management and relationship building skills
  • Attention to detail in all duties
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Salesforce expertise preferred but not required
