WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: We are on the lookout for an IT Manager that can take full ownership of our IT – leading and supporting network, servers, cyber security, and applications. 

Reporting to the CFO, the IT Manager will lead a dedicated team to deliver excellent technical/non-technical support with outstanding customer service satisfaction and timeliness. He/she aides in the vision and leadership for designing, developing and implementing IT and tech initiatives that create customer and business value for all IT functions throughout the organization. Responsibilities include influencing and directing the company’s IT infrastructure and applications evolution to ensure key business strategies and processes are driven by systems that enable change, growth, and flexibility. The IT Manager must ensure our IT infrastructure and other technology solutions are reliable, secure, cost efficient, and strategically sound, reflecting business needs and best practice in creating value for the company and our customers.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide technical leadership and coordination with all IT personnel, including help desk and system/network administrators
  • Lead and participate in IT projects
  • Provides technical assistance and support for incoming inquiries, requests, and issues related to hardware, software, infrastructure, and security
  • Be the point of escalation for any IT related issues
  • Support the implementation and on-going management of an evolving service desk application
  • Prioritize and manage open requests to ensure that they are resolved accurately and in a timely manner
  • Document IT Service Desk processes and ensure processes are kept up-to-date
  • Resolve escalated employee and vendor issues
  • Perform periodic risk assessments and initiate risk control strategies
  • Coach all team members and motivate them to produce desired results
  • Organize regular training to teach team members new techniques and methods
  • Review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards
  • Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry
  • Perform regular IT audit to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them
  • Work alongside other departments to achieve company goals and visions
  • Generate project and operational reports to provide visibility into the performance of IT operations
  • Provide solution to any complex IT-related challenges in the organization
  • Identify, plan, and drive the implementation of IT improvements. Ensure scheduled changes take place with proper testing, monitoring and implementation, at minimal business risk
  • Understand and identify opportunities to improve IT costs (people, infrastructure, applications)
  • Ensure that the company’s data and information are protected from unauthorized access
  • Supervise repair and maintenance of all IT gadgets
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a technical degree preferred
  • MSCE and ITIL certification a plus
  • 5+ years of technical support experience in a leadership role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Office 365, and SCCM
  • Working knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP basic routing, VPNs, servers and switches (HP Arubas and SonicWall)
  • ERP applications, integration and cloud-services support are considered an asset (Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Workato, AWS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have very strong multi-tasking organizational and documentation skills

  • Have in-depth knowledge of management goals and visions and work in line with team members to achieve them
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify concerns, identify gaps, determine and fix the root cause, and recommend solutions
  • High degree of personal initiative
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and ad hoc requests
