Description
The Sr. Project Manager will plan, schedule, organize, direct control and continuously evaluate the projects assigned from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
This includes all internal communication with Project Designers and Account Managers as well as with outside suppliers. This will involve key production detail management and scheduling responsibilities, as well as all internal communication, work orders, and coordinating the efforts of team members within all departments of ASTOUND. The Sr. Project Manager defines the projects' objectives and oversees quality control throughout the entire execution of the job.
Responsibilities
- Prepare contracts, negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Handle all project administration, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration.
- Maintain interaction with the Project Designers throughout the production process and negotiates with suppliers regarding budgetary and scheduling issues
- Estimate projects (or specific aspects of projects) as required
- Produce and execute detailed budgets for projects
- Work closely with Account Management and Operations departments to ensure that project budgets are strictly adhered to and that profits are maximized
- Create scope of work with associated budgetary allocations for distribution to Operations department
- Available for client meetings and/or presentations
- Communicate key production details in connection with the production schedule to the Detailers and the Operations department
- Approve all requests for payment to vendors for labor and material charges related to jobs
- Establish and coordinates project timelines, monitors progress, investigates delays, and takes or recommends appropriate actions to ensure the schedules are met
- Maintain an accurate record of all historical quotations, invoices, detailed drawings, and final renderings for all projects
- Maintains operational project file on server via project workbook
- Maintains a personal project management time log for job costing
- Arranges for detailed drawings to be produced as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Industry experience as a project manager in the architecture and construction industry (5 years minimum)
- Industry experience as a project manager in the custom manufacturing for construction industry ( 5 years minimum)
- In-depth understanding of construction documentation processes and procedures
- Full understanding of construction site management processes and procedures
- Industry experience with creating and managing detailed construction schedules
- Industry experience with managing detailed project budgets and project financials
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong team player
- Ability to travel periodically both internationally and domestically
