Harkins theatres was looking to fabricate and install custom features across several locations as part of a larger remodel initiative.

Brought in as a full-service partner via Parkway Construction, ASTOUND handled all aspects of the new custom features from design to fabrication to on-site installation. The features included new theatre entry portals and the large Cine1 entry sign. These features were primarily produced in metal using CNC and brake forming with some integrated backlit lighting features for wayfinding purposes.

With the client’s very specific requirements around finishes and color, we developed and followed a complicated 7-step automotive finishing process to achieve the intended results of a translucent gold finish.

Overall, the client was extremely satisfied with the finished features and have since signed off on additional locations to be remodeled and upgraded by ASTOUND.
