Luminato festival was looking for a covid-friendly experience to get families out of the house and into the city parks.

ASTOUND teamed up with Planet Fabulon to develop an interactive web AR scavenger hunt that participants could easily explore using their personal smartphones. To start off the experience, participants were introduced to the Splinter Dimensional captain who needs help to close some interdimensional portals. Through the compelling narrative, participants were tasked with locating and scanning QR codes throughout a local park that would help to close the portals and save the captain. At the end, participants were encouraged to take an AR selfie with the captain and share to social media.
