The Match: Tiger vs. Phil
Signage, Scoreboard & VIP Entrance

ASTOUND provided All on-course tee signage and scoreboards, as well as the VIP spectator entrance and directional site signage

The Match: Tiger vs. Phil featured legendary golfers Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson in an exciting head-to-head match play golf challenge held at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada. With a $9 million purse for the unofficial PGA Tour event, and with the golfers able to make side-bets on per-hole challenges (with winnings going to charity), the event offered rousing entertainment for both on-course and broadcast audience

ASTOUND set up signage to engage and excite both the VIP on-course spectators and the much larger broadcast audience. The experience for the 300+ VIP attendees began upon arrival at the course, with graphic directional signage pointing the way to the entrance. With dramatic graphics highlighting the storied rivalry between titans of golf Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, the spectator entrance raised expectations for an awesome event. The thrilling mix of competitive sports and entertainment gave audiences an up-close and exclusive opportunity to experience the true personalities of these golfing legends, playing head-to-head for the first time. Player mics provided access to discussions about shot selection with caddies, as well as banter between Tiger and Phil, especially as they negotiated the odds for their side-bets on specific shots. Once the match began, on-course signage at each tee and scoreboard provided a prominent showcase for the event sponsors.
