Nintendo partnered with ASTOUND to create a modular trade show booth solution that could be reconfigured for a variety of different footprints and venues across various consumer and industry shows.
At Fan Expo, Nintendo wanted to give their fans a chance to try out one of their most anticipated games: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, along with other Nintendo Switch Games like Mario Tennis, and Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion.
The exhibit showcased Nintendo’s classic red and white colorway. Overhanging the exhibit was a large banner sign with Nintendo’s logo making it easy to find the booth in such a high traffic event like Fan Expo. Once in the booth, fans were able to play many games of their choice as Nintendo offered several game stations to promote their games. Along with game stations, Nintendo displayed iconic items—such as Donkey Kong’s red trademark tie and King DeDeDe’s wooden mallet from the Kirby franchise—in two glass displays as photo opps for attendees.
ASTOUND designed, fabricated, stored and installed the modular booth at various shows across Canada. The booth was designed with interchangeability of graphics being a key requirement so our client could modify their titles and brand campaigns on the fly.
